Albia, IA to Onawa, IA---May 20th

Not sure why we thought it would be any different today....rain, rain, rain and more rain.  After listening to the weather report for this area we felt certain that we were in for some really foul and I mean foul weather.  They were expecting severe thunderstorms with hail and strong winds all along our route.  Fortunately it just rained enough to need intermittent wipers.....always a good thing when you're traveling on winding roads.

OK, ladies, put on your thinking caps and go way back, really way back to the early 70's.  Remember a place called "Trimette"?  Everyone dressed in black leotards and tights and you got tortured by all sorts of machines, the purpose being to loose weight and firm up. Yeah right...that never happened at lease not for me.  Looking back I would kill to see that 110 lb mark again...that ain't gonna happen either.  If only there was a crystal ball into the future.  I digress, back to Trimette.  There was a machine that you put around your hips and when it was running it just jiggled the crap out of you, well I guess it was supposed to jiggle the FAT out of you, but again that didn't happen.  By now you're probably wondering why I've taken you on this odyssey to relive your youth.  Well, the roads in Iowa do exactly the same thing that stupid machine did at Trimette.  I felt like old St. Nick with his stomach that shook like a bowl full of jello.  I mean it was ridiculous the amount of shaking going on.  I truly expect to get home and find that I've lost all those unwanted pounds.  A girls can dream can't she!

Here's a couple of pictures of our home for the night...On-Ur-Wa RV Park and Campground located in beautiful Onawa, Nebraska.  Clever name don't you think.
